Fence and Deck Cleaning done properly
Timber outside goes grey, then green, then black in the shady spots. Decks under trees collect leaf stains, handrails get grubby where everyone grabs them, and the bottom of a fence line stays damp and grows mould. Metal fences fade under a film of dust and algae on the side that never gets the sun.
Timber is softer than it looks. Hit it with high pressure and a narrow tip and the surface fibres lift, leaving it furry and prone to splinters. We use low pressure and a wide fan tip on timber, work along the grain, and let a cleaning treatment do most of the work. Painted timber and Colorbond-style metal fences get a soft wash so the paint and coating are left alone.
We clean only. We don't stain, oil or paint, so if you plan to recoat your deck or fence, book that with a painter or do it yourself once we are done. Give the timber a few dry days after the clean before any oil goes on.

- 3
Rinse and check
Board gaps, rails and steps are rinsed clear, gardens get a final rinse, and we walk over the finished job with you.
Why Moreton Bay and Brisbane north homes need it
Our humid summers keep timber damp for days after a storm, and that is when mould and algae move in. Decks under gum trees and fences along shady side boundaries are usually the worst, and a slimy deck is a real slip risk on the way to the clothesline or the barbecue.
Plenty of homes in Moreton Bay and Brisbane north have decks and fences that went in when the house was built and haven't had much attention since. A clean shows you what condition the timber is really in before you spend money on oil, paint or replacement boards.

Fence and Deck Cleaning questions
Can't see your question? Call us and ask.
How much does fence and deck cleaning cost?
A fence up to 20 metres starts from $150, a small to medium deck from $220, and a fence and deck together from $320. Longer fences, bigger decks or lots of stairs change the price. Send a few photos and we can usually quote the same day.
Will pressure cleaning damage my deck?
High pressure with a narrow tip can lift the timber fibres and leave the surface furry. We use low pressure and a fan tip along the grain, and let the treatment do most of the work, so the timber is cleaned without being chewed up.
Do you oil or stain decks?
No. We clean only, and we don't stain, oil or paint. A clean deck is the right starting point for oiling, so you or your painter can take it from there.
How long should I wait before oiling after a clean?
Give the timber a few dry, sunny days so it dries right through. Oil goes on better and lasts longer on dry timber. If your oil or stain has its own instructions, follow those.
Can you clean Colorbond fences?
Yes. Metal fences get a soft wash and a gentle rinse, not high pressure, so the coating is left as it was. It lifts the dust, mould and cobwebs that build up on the shaded side.
Do you need to get into my neighbour's yard?
Only if you want both sides of a shared fence cleaned. We can do your side on its own, or both sides if your neighbour is happy to give us access.
Will my deck look new afterwards?
It will look clean, and most grey and black staining comes off. Timber that has weathered for years keeps some of its colour change, and boards with deep rot or splits will still need repair. We point those out if we see them.
How often should a deck be cleaned?
Once a year suits most decks. Decks under trees or in full shade often need it more often, especially before summer.
